The Art of the Trio
was formed by tenor saxophone stylist and jazz legend Ernie Krivda. The group balances expanding improvisational goals with a strong compositional and ensemble focus. This ensemble of world class musicians is able to showcase the individual virtuosity of its members and create variety in mood and texture. The credits of these musicians cover a wide range of experience in the creative music spectrum. Although jazz, in all of its swinging glory, is at the core of the group's relationship, it is colored by influences ranging from world, Latin, Funk, and European chamber music. The group is currently celebrating the release of its new CD on CIMP records The Art of the Trio.
